Poetry by Kyle Moreno

my life is a penis

i compare
to strangers
friends
homeless china men
ron jeremy.

and when i feel insecure
i compensate with
the hummer h2
big shiny shoes
or dockers dress socks.

i‘ll admit:
not as large
as i want it
but
i‘m tugging on it.

(i thank god
it‘s not diseased
crooked
or broken.
yet.)

and since I only have
one
I treasure it.
(but not too much
that would be gay.)

It longs
for tender touch
attention
and most of all
a place to fit in.

prescription for a hangover

when i was
young
they told me not to
“bottle it up” so i don't
anymore.

instead i
empty
the bottle

every night.

and the bottle
empties me
in turn

every morning.
