BIO: Victor Sagers was born in Los Angeles, California, on VE Day, May 8, 1945. Both he and his twin sister Victoria were named for that historic day. Vic has worked in photography, computer graphics and other visual arts for more than twenty-five years. He has been strongly influenced by artists of the Dada and Constructivist movements, many of whom used techniques of collaging together photographs and painted sections. Another major influence for Vic was the work of László Moholy-Nagy, who founded the Institute of Design in Chicago. Vic's education has included a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State College, Dominguez Hills, and for the past twenty years, he has taken studio art classes at Long Beach City College. Last year three of his art prints were accepted at an international exhibition in Denmark. This summer, Vic’s art prints were included in an exhibition in Sofia, Bulgaria. Also, his art has been on display in several Long Beach Art Galleries. Vic is currently taking a painting class—a new challenge for him. It has been said, the “Journey is the Destination.” For Vic, art is that journey.
