Art by Sid Hoskins

BIO:  Sid Hoskins took his first art class in Valencia, Spain during the summer of 1979. At first he used charcoal pencil to draw buildings, but increasingly became more interested in the human form as the subject of his drawings. Upon his return to the United States, he joined the "drawing from life" classes at Long Beach City College. Sid also began working with pastels and has been drawing live models every semester since, for a total of 31 years. He has exhibited his work at many galleries and has had many one-man shows which included one at the Paris American Academy where he also attended classes in the summer. There are 9 of his drawings on the walls of the Copyco Store at 2155 Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach, near the corner of Bellflower and Stearns.
